THE INTERNSHIP
Want to see your code operate real equipment? At PPD Automation, you can help program, test and integrate automation and robotics solutions alongside the technical team.

POSSIBLE ASSIGNMENTS
• Help understand and document equipment operating sequences.
• Contribute to PLC functions and HMI screen development or changes.
• Prepare I/O lists, test scenarios and troubleshooting notes.
• Help test equipment communications and validate data.
• Participate in shop testing and investigate faults.
• Support robotic integration tasks according to your level and the project.
• Contribute to documentation, backups and commissioning preparation.

YOUR PROFILE
• Currently studying automated production engineering, electrical engineering, automation, software engineering or a relevant field.
• Basic programming, sequential logic or control systems knowledge.
• Interest in how software, sensors and actuators affect a real machine.
• Curiosity, a methodical approach, observation skills and clear problem descriptions.
• Teamwork and willingness to test, correct and document your work.

ASSETS
School or personal projects involving PLCs, HMIs, robotics, data acquisition, vision or industrial networking. Tell us which tools you know and what you have built, including laboratory work.

WHAT YOU COULD DEVELOP
A structured approach to programming and troubleshooting, an understanding of machine cycles and practical equipment validation habits. Assignments are adapted to your level, progress and available projects.

ARRANGEMENTS
Based in Boucherville, Québec. We will discuss the term, duration, internship level and your school’s requirements. Client-site activities may be discussed depending on the assignment.
